Mstislavl is mentioned in Ipatjeuskaya manuscript in 1165. The birch letter of the 1-st third XIII c was found out here. Peter Timofeevich Mstislavets - the printer, the founder, together with Ioann Fedorov, the first printing house in Moscow was born here. The excursion assumes survey with the Mstislavl's temples - the St. A.Nevsky church, the wooden St.-Transfiguration church, the St. Virgin Mary church (1614), with the St. Michael church (1640) and ancient city building, with the church of jesuits in Rusno; in part kept church of a the female monastery (1799) in Mazolovo where the first monastery was based in XIV c to Lugven, the son of the grand duke Ol'gerd; in part kept St.-Trinity cathedral of the Pustynkov monastery based in 1380 to Lugven, begun to see clearly, according to a legend, after ablution by water from the Sacred spring.
